The management team will be appointing a top chef to deliver a modern American themed menu for the restaurant/bar that will feature top DJ’s and A-list artists. A short-list of three potential sites is now under consideration with a final decision on location expected in August.

The 40/40 London will give first option on jobs to talented, long-term unemployed young people. Each month a percentage of profits from the project will go to local youth charities for music and sport projects in deprived communities.

The grand opening party to be held next year will be similar to the 40/40 openings thrown by Jay Z in New York, Las Vegas and Atlantic City and will be attended by a host of stars from music, sport and entertainment. NVA are in talks with UK broadcasters over exclusive TV opportunities.

NVA has a high profile track-record in sport and entertainment working with the likes of John Terry, Robinho, Usain Bolt and Antonio Valencia.

Jay-Z said; “London is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world and the perfect location for our new venue. I’m excited about working with Ashley and NVA Entertainment Group on a range of new projects and The 40/40 London is going to be the hottest place in town.”

Cole said; “I am delighted to be working with Jay Z I have grown up listening to his music and now to be doing business with him is amazing and the projects we do will be delivering much needed funds back into sport and music on a local community level as well as helping talented young people get back to work.”

40/40 Partner Juan Perez said; “The partnership of Ashley and Jay Z along with our entire 40/40 Club team is the ideal fit for bringing our brand to London.  The 40/40 Club is not only a brand, but a lifestyle that suits the nightlife and sports world and that makes it a perfect fit for London.”

NVA Holdings Executives Chris Nathaniel and Paul Boadi said “We have done some exciting deals and worked with some World class names but this collaboration of Ashley Cole and Jay Z has to be one of the most exciting and it makes the nine months of negotiations worth it and we look forward to an amazing launch for the first project and have started work on two other projects that the two will be collaborating on covering the film and fashion areas”

Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model is back

On June 21st, 2011 admin wrote on the subject of Celebrity PR,Event PR,Fashion PR,Model Search PR,Television PR.

LONDON, Tuesday 21st June 2011, Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model is back…and the competition for the Top Model crown is bigger than ever.  This year the search reaches the next level as the judges hit the road for nationwide auditions, with no stone left unturned in the trawl for true beauty. Exclusive to Sky Living, the seventh series promises more rivalry, higher drama and hotter glamour…

Supermodel Elle Macpherson and the elite panel commence their search by travelling to six cities throughout the UK on the quest to find a fresh faced fashion starlet, and from the opening audition stages right through to the intense finale, viewers will follow the competitors every step of the way.

Returning alongside Elle Macpherson are an esteemed judging panel comprising leading designer Julien Macdonald, supreme stylist Grace Woodward and male model Charley Speed. With their extensive list of fashion credentials, these experts know what they are looking for in the next face of high fashion, and competition between the four has never been fiercer.

Should the hopefuls survive the audition rounds and a mass cull in the dreaded Boot Camp, where 90 girls go down to 13, the models in the making will have their fashion savvy tested at every turn.  Over thirteen weeks the competitors must perfect their catwalk attitude, show off their editorial edge in photo shoots and impress the judges at the dreaded weekly eliminations, when one imperfect pose or clumsy catwalk could mean they are sent home.

This series will also see Elle and the panel joined by a number of high profile guest judges, who hail from all corners of the fashion world, to help the experts decide which girl should continue on in the competition.  Among those lending their professional opinion are former supermodel and fashion legend Janice Dickenson, international model Tyson Beckford, designer Henry Holland, pop superstar Sophie Ellis Bexter and Irish beauty Yvonne Keating. They will be on hand to oversee an exciting line up of challenges, which include a daring nude shoot, where the girls must quickly lose their inhibitions, an underwater photo session, and of course the dramatic makeovers, where emotions run high.

For the winner, this year’s enviable prize package includes a contract with international agency Models 1, a cover and feature within Company magazine and a contract with Revlon cosmetics, whom Elle herself is a global ambassador for. In addition, for the first time ever, the chosen girl will begin her jet-set model lifestyle with a luxury holiday to the Sandals Resort in Jamaica and a brand new Peugeot RCZ.  She will also kick start her fashion career by fronting an international campaign with High Street über-brand Miss Selfridge.  Previous series winners have taken part in campaigns for Swatch, Sony and ASOS, as well as being photographed for Russian Vogue.

The search for the UK’s newest catwalk queen begins as Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model returns on Monday 4th July at 9pm, exclusively on Sky Living.

Meet Lord Sugar’s new Apprentices…

On May 3rd, 2011 admin wrote on the subject of Celebrity PR,Event PR,Online PR,Television Industry PR,Television PR,The Apprentice.

LONDON, Tuesday 3rd May 2011: BBC ONE’s multi award-winning and critically acclaimed business entertainment series The Apprentice returns for a seventh series on Tuesday 10th May, as a new line-up of corporate contenders face Lord Sugar in the battle for boardroom supremacy. Episode two of the hotly anticipated new series will be shown on Wednesday 11th May.

From all corners of the country, Britain’s entrepreneurial elite have come to London to face the biggest challenge of their careers – embarking on a business battle over 12 tough tasks with multi-millionaire tycoon, Lord Sugar. Selected for their entrepreneurial flair and burning passion for business – Lord Sugar has spotted something in all of them but only one can succeed in proving they have the commercial acumen and business skill to be worthy of entering into a partnership with him as winner of The Apprentice 2011.

Injecting a new spin into the life-changing opportunity, this year’s successful Apprentice will no longer win a six figured salary job working in one of Lord Sugar’s businesses.  Instead the winner and their business idea will found the basis of a partnership with Lord Sugar, with an investment to the value of £250,000.

In the present period of financial recovery this year’s candidates face a series of gruelling tasks, and this year the bar has been raised as each task is based on a start up business, designed to push their skills to the limit. They are risking it all by leaving what they know behind and venturing into unfamiliar territory as they fight to launch their plan with his business backing and unequivocal guidance.

Failure is not an option and mistakes will not be forgiven as Lord Sugar wastes no time in telling his potential business partners how the hunt for a new partnership will work:

“I’m going to inject £250,000 worth of cash and value into a business, your business, and you’re going to run it. And I say you’re going to run it because don’t expect me to be doing all the work because I’m not looking for a “sleeping” partner. I’m not Saint Alan, the patron saint of bloody losers… You can look at it as a bit of an uncivil partnership, so to speak. I want you to treat this first task as if it’s your own business. Here’s something to note, this is an investment, and I want some return on my money.”

With the stakes set higher than ever, Lord Sugar and his eagle eyed advisors Nick Hewer and Karren Brady will each week be watching how the candidates perform in 12 challenging tasks.

The candidates’ CVs reveal: an inventor, a business psychologist, a former cycling champion, an estate agent, an accountant and entrepreneurs in fields as varied as creative arts, organic skincare and fast food.

Although the candidates will live in a lavish mansion and be given a taste of the high-flying life they dream of, the weeks ahead will be anything but glamorous as they roll up their tailored sleeves and embark upon weeks of hard graft with only one of them emerging triumphant.  Rivalry is intense as the 16 challengers vie for the chance to go into business with one of the world’s most renowned business moguls.

Episode one follows the candidates as they are split into two teams, each team being tasked to invest £250 in fresh fruit and vegetables in a battle to make the highest return. The candidates must buy the produce, add value to it and sell it to the public under the strict scrutiny of Nick and Karren. The decision of how to spend their money is theirs but only one factor will be considered in the first boardroom showdown – who has made the biggest return on Lord Sugar’s investment?

Series seven will see personalities clash and tempers soar as the cut-throat competition gets tougher with every task. With each task based on a business start-up, the potential apprentices will design a mobile phone application, be tested in the beauty industry, create new pet food, launch a magazine, explore the lucrative possibilities of biscuits, transform rubbish into money, start a restaurant chain and trade internationally.

For these elite professionals it is make or break time in the most daunting challenges they will ever face. With gripping boardroom showdowns and determined candidates, this series promises to be the most intense and unpredictable yet.

The money is on the table and the boss is in the boardroom but who will win to become this year’s Apprentice?

Ultimate fan show, The Apprentice: You’re Fired! will also be making a welcome return to BBC Two immediately after the main show with host Dara O Briain in the chair. Each week the fired candidate is interrogated by business experts, celebrity fans of the show and a studio audience of viewers.

The BBC Apprentice website – www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice – will feature clips from each episode and exclusive footage of each of the 16 candidates, filmed during the selection process. Viewers will be able to catch up with events surrounding the show in the official blog, a daily source of information for all things Apprentice, featuring the best of Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

The Apprentice is a talkbackTHAMES production for BBC ONE. Michele Kurland is Executive Producer, Mark Saben is Series Editor. Jo Wallace is the Executive Editor for the BBC.

The Apprentice will air on BBC One, BBC HD, the BBC’s high definition channel and BBC One HD and will be repeated on BBC Three.

Will and Kate: The Movie

On March 24th, 2011 admin wrote on the subject of Celebrity PR,DVD PR.

LONDON, Thursday 24th March 2011: The Hollywood feature film that has sparked worldwide media frenzy over the last few months has finally arrived.

The story of Will & Kate’s fairy-tale romance will be released in the UK on DVD, during Royal Wedding week, by Revolver Entertainment on Monday 25th April.

Shot entirely in Los Angeles and inspired by true events, viewers are cordially invited to relive the highs and lows of the couple’s nine-year courtship: as they attempt to maintain a normal relationship despite family pressures and intense media attention. The story concludes with the ultimate ending, a picture-perfect Royal Wedding.

The movie features some of the most iconic highlights of the couple’s relationship – from the moment when the future king gallantly forked out £200 to watch Kate model in a charity catwalk show, to the first time his future bride met the Royal family, and the utterly romantic day he proposed to Kate in his beloved Africa.  Every major milestone in the couple’s enchanting romance is celebrated in this truly historic ‘made for TV’ love story.

British actress Camilla Luddington stars as Miss Middleton, with New Zealand-born actor Nico Evers-Swindell as her Royal beau, Prince William. Camilla, who like her on-screen persona was also brought up in leafy Berkshire, has previously had roles in the hit American shows Days Of Our Lives and C.S.I, whilst Nico‘s credentials include Law & Order and Edge Of Darkness.

Busta Rhymes to headline One Love Peace Festival

One Love Peace Festival, the UK’s number one reggae event, returns in spectacular fashion to celebrate their landmark 20 year anniversary, transforming London’s Wembley Arena into a tropical fairground as reggae heavyweights from around the world unite under one roof on Sunday 31st July.

Legendary rap star and global icon Busta Rhymes will headline the event in a UK festival exclusive, bringing a Hip-Hop climax to the Caribbean infused concert, performing explosive hits from an animated career that has spanned over two decades. Busta will be joined by Grammy-award-winning superstars Shaggy and Sean Paul and man of the moment Gyptian, as well as roots royalty Aswad, in an unprecedented music showcase this summer.

Busta Rhymes said: “I can’t wait to get back to the UK!  It’s been three years since I last performed here so I’m dying to tear the roof off Wembley Arena at The One Love Peace Festival with some old school joints and brand new bangers.   When I’m done, you’re gonna remember it for a long time to come.  Get ready because it’s about to go down!”

Waving the British flag on the day will be a roster of the UK’s most vibrant urban acts including Grime stalwart Skepta with further UK acts to be announced. Other artists performing at the all-day festival include the Godfather of Lover’s Rock John Holt, reggae five-piece Third World, conscious newcomer Natty King, Jamaican born DJ Trinity, roots-soul songstress Etana and prolific vocalist Wayne Wade appearing in the UK for the first time.

In light of the ongoing ‘Broken Britain’ crisis, organisers of the 2011 One Love Peace Festival aim to reaffirm their ‘Throw away your Guns, Throw away your Knives’ initiative by echoing the sentiments of Jamaica’s original One Love Peace Concert where headliner Bob Marley famously united opposing leaders on stage to bring an end to the country’s political civil war.

The event marks 30 years since the passing of Bob Marley and will celebrate the life and times of the King of Reggae with a series of themed sets including a tribute from his son Ky Mani Marley who will be performing a selection of his father’s greatest hits including No Woman, No Cry and One Love.

Ky-Mani Marley said:  “I feel blessed to be part of The One Love Peace Festival.  It is with great pride that I will pay homage to my father, Bob Marley, with some of his best loved songs. The festival’s message of peace is a noble cause that I hold very dear to my heart and one that my father would have applauded. It is in giving truthfully of oneself, selflessly to benefit others that the soul finds satisfaction and great delight. London I’m coming to give you all that I’ve got with my music…past to present…it is my Destiny. The festival will be unforgettable to all of us who are present… Mystical proportions. 30 years after my father’s passing and his legacy still lives on.  One Love.”

Since its inception in the UK, the One Love Peace Festival has grown from strength to strength with the staging of a number of large and highly successful events around the country. The last of these events took place at the West London Stadium (now renamed the Linford Christie Stadium) in 1991 and was attended by 25,000 peaceful revelers who turned up in their droves to see the likes of The Wailers, Gregory Isaacs, Freddie McGregor and Barrington Levy.

Event organiser Dexter Ricketts commented: “We are honoured to be staging another One Love Peace Festival in a landmark year which marks both our 20th anniversary and 30 years since the passing of Reggae legend Bob Marley. For us the event is all about raising multi-cultural awareness and tolerance through the powerful medium of music.  We hope that the One Love Peace Festival will act as a catalyst for change in Broken Britain by filling the capital with good vibes.”
