TRY BEFORE YOU FLY.

Thomas Cook already used virtual reality to allow customers in store to ‘try before you buy’ but their ‘try before you fly’ campaign allows you to experience the joys of economy flying from anywhere you like.

This week they launched three interactive videos that can be played via the newest technology on the block ‘mobile virtual reality’ and viewed either through YouTube, or for an even more immersive experience via the YouTube app with Google Cardboard.

The videos allow you to explore the flight deck, economy and premium economy areas of the plane – there are also a few surprising passengers to spot including Kimye, Lady Gaga and a string quartet.

Whether you love or hate flying the point of the video is to get everyone excited about the cabins of their new Airbus A330 fleet however they’re also offering a free holiday to anyone who can guess the destination of the flight from clues placed around the cabin.

The ‘Fantasy Flight’ concept looked fun to film with a crew of 50+ actors, airline staff and celebrity lookalikes and love or hate flying, the super-cool interactive concept has Thomas Cook soaring above their competitors.

It’s too early to tell how much of a splash this will make in the media, but playing around with the 360 cameras is super fun.
