Snickers hijacks celebrity Twitter feed.

Katie Price caused a stir amongst her 1.5 million Twitter followers today when her feed started offering up thoughts on China’s GDP, the Eurozone and the bond market.

The Media Blog reports “Instantly people started suggesting her account had been hacked, or that a friend was just having a laugh at her expense. Certainly nobody thought it was her. And it almost certainly wasn’t.” 

A subsequent tweet and accompanying photo revealed it was a sponsored stunt for confectionary brand Snickers.

“The idea being that she hadn’t been herself with those previous tweets because she was hungry.”
