There’s no such thing as a free lunch (or cinema ticket)!.

This weekend, Bristol locals will be able to watch ‘Back to the Future’ for free at Bristol & Bath Science Museum’s pop up cinema. But there’s a catch…the film fanatics will have to cycle to power the screen.

The movie will be aired on a pedal-powered screen and volunteers can take turns on one of the 10 generator bikes to power the 116-minute film. But don’t worry, there will be back-up power if needed!

The event launches a competition in Bristol aiming to increase the number of environmentally friendly commuter trips.

Let’s hope there’s enough popcorn to keep the cyclists (and the screen) energised!
