Live events,
launches, parties and stunts have always been a major element
in Taylor Herring's integrated publicity campaigns.
So in summer 2007 we launched
a dedicated division - Taylor Herring Events -
to deliver high end design and production services, as
well as the creative
development and media management that clients like The
National Theatre,
Channel Four, Disney, Bafta, Sky One and IPC Magazines
already loved us for.
To date, Taylor Herring Events
has created immersive experiences and
positioning events for Disney, Discovery Networks Europe,
V1, Living,
gurgle.com, 19 Management and Escape Studios, many of which
you can see in
our promo film (left). We've also secure the talent and
delivered the
next-day stories where appropriate.
The new events division is
led by events supremo (and former television PR)
Danielle Nay who has created unique events, entertainment
properties and
brand partnerships for many of the UK's top brands and
media owners
including the BBC, Channel 4 five, Microsoft, Buena Vista
International,
Twentieth Century Fox, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe,
O2, Courvoisier
and L'Oreal Luxury Brands.

High
School Musical - European Premiere
Taylor Herring were hired by Disney
to handle the European media launch of the hit movie High School
Musical. The Emmy Award-winning television film is one of the
most successful Disney Channel Original Movies ever produced,
with one sequel already confirmed, as well as a number-one
soundtrack that is certified triple-platinum, making it one
of the most commercially-successful records of the year.

National
Theatre – Fast Forward Launch
A spectacular party held in the
former Saatchi Gallery, featuring original live performances.
Champagne flowed throughout the evening which was sponsored
by Moet and Chandon. A charity auction was conducted by
Sotheby’s, offering a variety of once in a lifetime
opportunities. The performers included Clive Rowe, Alison
Jiear, Benjamin Lake and the chorus of Jerry Springer – the
Opera; performers from Matthew Bourne’s Pay without
Words; Samuel Barnett, Patricia Hodge and Alex Jennings
in a piece by Alan Bennett and ‘The History Boys’ performing
a song from Alan Bennett’s play with specially written
lyrics for the occasion. The Fast Forward fund raising
event and dinner was followed by Fast Forward Backstage,
a stylish party designed to be accessible and affordable
for younger NT supporters. |

Launch
of More 4
Following a five-way competitive pitch
Taylor Herring PR were appointed as consultants to More4
and advised on all aspects of the launch from including the
creation and execution of the launch event. A star-studded
launch party was held at a unique underground venue The Shunt
Vaults, London Bridge. All the guests were sent a teaser
invitation printed on a silk black blindfold. Celebrities
at the event included Gordon Ramsay, Dermot O'Leary, Daniel
Craig, Alex Zane, Jimmy Carr, Jimmy Choo, Trevor Eve and
Justin Lee Collins. Partygoers were treated to entertainment
by Big Chill headliners Zero 7 and Soul II Soul’s Jazzie
B. Rhubarb food design chefs were brought in to create a
Noveau British menu. More 4’s guests were the first
in the UK to taste Wokka Saki, other drinks sponsors included
Piper Heidsieck, Glennfiddich and Kronenbourg Blanc.

Sky
One Launch
Taylor Herring created a unique event
for Sky One’s Autumn schedule launch which followed
their brand values; big, popular, disruptive and original.
A circus themed open air event was created in the centre
of Portland Square in central London. Circus acts took place
in a branded Big Top with a hire-wire trapeze elevated 30ft
in the air entertaining everyone outside. Other entertainment
included a Helisphere, walking heads and mini motor racing.
The catering was provided by Cellar Society which included
canapés and a variety of food stall such as a creperie,
hog roast stand, candy floss and a burger bar. |

Mr
Men Exhibition
To celebrate the 35th anniversary
of the iconic children’s brand we staged the first
ever Mr. Men art exhibition, working with The Animation Art
Gallery. The exhibition was planned to coincide with the
release of the new books featuring Mr Birthday and Little
Miss Birthday, written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves,
son of original creator Roger. (full

The
Inside Soap Awards
The magazine’s star-studded
event of the year which celebrates the cream of soap talent,
took place at La Rascasse. Taylor Herring also lined up a
broadcast partner Living TV who screened a one hour special
from the event. Guests included Shane Richie, Steve McFadden,
Tracey Preston, Suranne Jones and Jessie Wallace. |

British Comedy Awards
Taylor Herring handled all PR for The
British Comedy Awards in 2003, 2004 and 2005 – coordinating
all media for the prestigious event and working with sponsors
to maximise the value of their investment.

Britain’s
Next Top Model Launch
Taylor Herring were given the mission
to make Britain’s Next Top Model the party of the summer
which was held at Debenham House on Holland Park. The models
took part in a fashion show which gave the illusion that they
were walking on water as they strutted across a swimming pool.
Food was provided by Fiona Frith and guests included Lisa Snowdon,
Paula Hamilton, David Walliams, Jimmy Carr and Peaches Geldof. |

FIFPro
World XI Player Awards.
Taylor Herring were hired to handle
international, trade and consumer PR for the inaugural FIFPro
World XI Player Awards. The awards, which were the world’s
first and only international peer-voted football awards, were
staged at BBC Television Centre. A host of internationally
renowned stars from the worlds of football, film, music, television
and fashion gathered to celebrate the achievements of the world’s
most gifted footballers. Footballers present included international
football stars Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Ronaldinho
and Cristiano Ronaldo. The campaign achieved a massive worldwide
reach, spanning TV, radio, print and online in over 24 countries.

Paramount
10th Anniversary Party
Taylor Herring helped the Paramount
Comedy Channel celebrate their 10th birthday by arranging a
piss up in a brewery. The night of comedy and music, at the
Truman Brewery, was hosted by Lenny Beige and his band ‘The
Fickle Hand of Fate’ and direct from NYC - Freestyle
Love Supreme. The Comedy Store, presented an exciting line-up
of new talent. |

Health Magazine Launch
We helped Men’s Health magazine
conclude their nationwide search for a home-grown cover model
with a glittering celebrity awards dinner at La Rascasse (at
Café Grand Prix, Berkeley Street W1), the London outpost
of Sting & Bono’s Monte Carlo hangout. |

Loaded Lafta Awards
Taylor Herring were invited to handle
PR for the Loaded Lafta Awards at Sketch in central London.
Guests included Justin Lee Collins, Jimmy Carr, Russell Brand,
Alan Carr, Ricky Tomlinson, Oli Chris and Scott Mills. The
event kicked off with a champagne reception followed by the
awards lunch which drifted into the evening where everyone

Extreme
Makeover Launch
We staged a Celebrity Botox Party for
Living TV to celebrate the launch of Extreme Makeover on Living
TV. Held at the aptly named private members club, The Hospital,
the soiree included Botox treatments, eyebrow threading, pedicures
and Brazilians. Cosmetic surgeons mingled with guests and gave
advice on any ‘work’ they might need. Nip tuck
waiters were handing out rejuvenating cocktails throughout
the evening.

Comic
Aid
We handled PR for the UK’s biggest
ever comedy gig at Hammersmith Apollo. Britain’s biggest
comedy stars teamed up to raise money for the Asian Tsunami
disaster appeal. The event was hosted by Jonathan Ross, Jack
Dee, Graham Norton and Lily Savage with a stellar comic line-up
that included Dawn French, Julie Walters and Victoria Wood,
Lee Evans, Jimmy Carr, Johnny Vegas, Bill Bailey, Bo’ Selecta!
star The Bear, Jo Brand, John Culshaw, Eddie Izzard, The League
Of Gentlemen and Alistair McGowan. |
