taylor herring events

Live events, launches, parties and stunts have always been a major element in Taylor Herring's integrated publicity campaigns.

So in summer 2007 we launched a dedicated division - Taylor Herring Events - to deliver high end design and production services, as well as the creative development and media management that clients like The National Theatre, Channel Four, Disney, Bafta, Sky One and IPC Magazines already loved us for.

To date, Taylor Herring Events has created immersive experiences and positioning events for Disney, Discovery Networks Europe, V1, Living, gurgle.com, 19 Management and Escape Studios, many of which you can see in our promo film (left). We've also secure the talent and delivered the next-day stories where appropriate.

The new events division is led by events supremo (and former television PR) Danielle Nay who has created unique events, entertainment properties and brand partnerships for many of the UK's top brands and media owners including the BBC, Channel 4 five, Microsoft, Buena Vista International, Twentieth Century Fox, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, O2, Courvoisier and L'Oreal Luxury Brands.

Case Study: Living’s 15th Birthday
A year on from our fabulous Dirty Dancing-themed schedule launch for Living, Taylor Herring won a pitch to produce the channel’s 15th birthday bash. On-screen talent - as well as press, media buyers and producers – glammed up and flocked to A Night at the Living Mansion. The entire experience was deeply interactive, designed as a series of talking points and photo opportunities to maximise press coverage.

A series of themed zones within the mansion – entrance, gardens, library, whisky bar, games room, home cinema, bedroom, bathroom, shoe larder – created a variety of moods and backdrops for pictures and partying.  We then introduced a wealth of performers to bring the Mansion properly to life.

A pair of massive security guards flanked the door, with glossy Great Danes on rhinestone leashes. A sexy female chauffeur polished the Aston Martin parked on the forecourt. A bare-chested gardener mowed the lawn. A uniformed bell-hop was in charge of the lift. A beautiful mermaid greeted guests from a vast tank in the entrance hall. Flower pot girls poured cocktails from pink watering cans. Stilt statues flanked the doors to the atrium. A Lucky Dip girl sat in the roll top bath pulling out sample beauty products from Rodial. An Agent Provocateur cutie read bedtime stories to guests on the enormous round bed, while they were massaged by Urban Chill. The Powderpuff Girls ran the Lipstick Jungle-themed beauty counter, offering lip makeovers. A uniformed usherette hosted the Home Cinema and distributed popcorn to guests.

Via live performances from Buck’s Fizz and Cleopatra, the party also provided a showcase for Pop Goes The Band, a hot new entertainment property on Living.

Cocktails were named (in the style of handbags) after Living talent – The Kelly, The Brooke, The Lisa, The TPT. Canapes paid tribute to London’s top restaurants including Nobu and The Ivy, whilst bowls of comfort food (bangers & mash, fish & chips, noodles) were also available.

“A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who helped make last night a fantastic birthday extravaganza!! Another fab event from LIVING, we certainly lived up to our reputation of holding the best events in telly. Buck’s Fizz and the poodles stole the show."
