Transporting commuters from Oxford to London via Western Australia


Taylor Herring were appointed to help Tourism Western Australia promote the region as a must visit holiday destination, to mark the launch of the first ever nonstop flights from UK to Perth.


We partnered with Chiltern Railways to offer commuters the chance to escape the daily grind and visit Western Australia via the power of virtual reality.

Dr Darrel Greenhill from Kingston University, shared his insights on the future of travel entertainment – he predicted that it won’t be long before wearing VR headsets on the train will be the norm.


On a cold, grey Monday morning, we took over a train carriage on the Oxford to London route and offered commuters their very own VR experience in transit - transporting them ‘down under’ to sunnier scenes.

From swimming with whale sharks to meeting adorable quokkas and cycling along Ningaloo Reef, commuters were immersed in a series of spectacular short VR films, all while sitting on the train to work.
