Getting your love life back on track with Virgin.

Virgin Trains are playing Cupid this Valentine’s Day and are cashing in on the holiday mushy fervour with their very own ‘Love Carriage’.

Twenty-four ‘single’ ticket holders will climb aboard a special dining carriage and ‘speed’ date in a bid to find their ultimate soulmate. Passengers are encouraged to switch seats join in on party games while enjoying first-class service.

And who’s the on-board matchmaker? None other than Channel 4’s First Date’s presenter Fred Siriex (who else?). The Frenchman, who caught Virgins’ attention with his wistful musings as the manager of Galvin at Windows restaurant, said he was “over the moon”.

“Both happiness and love are within each of us. The thing is we need to go and get it and we have laid it on especially for you with top service and hospitality in a first class carriage this Valentine’s Day,” he says.

If being trapped in a metal pod speeding at 125mph from Kings Cross to York with a twenty-three lonely hearts with no possibility of escape sounds like the Valentine’s tactic you need then lovebirds can apply via the Virgin Trains’ website.

The deal is an effort to promote Virgin’s £42 million investment in its East Coast Trains service; revamping their interior and exterior designs.
