Living With Lag.

An Oculus Rift experiment from Swedish fiber broadband provider Ume.net allows users to experience one of the internet’s most frustrating aspects: lag.

The “Living with Lag,” experiment demonstrates the trouble people would have dealing with lag in real life.

Users are kitted out with an Oculus Rift and given different tasks to perform; the headset features both a one-third of a second delay and a full three-second delay.

‘The result is a pretty hilarious video ad showing “lagged” folks stumbling around like zombies, fruitlessly trying to follow an aerobics class or play ping pong.’ – reports Mashable.

The point is clear. “You wouldn’t accept lag offline, so why do it online?” asks Ume.net.
