Sky PR Chief Joins Taylor Herring

BSkyB’s former Director Of Publicity Adrian Lee has joined media and entertainment specialist Taylor Herring PR as Managing Partner.

As Director of Publicity at BSkyB, Lee managed Sky's publicity departments and various agencies through a period of enormous change and growth – which saw Sky subscriptions rise to more than 8m households. He headed up an in-house team of 40 PRO’s - working across programme PR and consumer brand publicity during eight years at the broadcaster from 1999 to 2007.

In the last 18 months he oversaw the launch of many major product innovations including High Definition TV and Sky Broadband as well as handling promotion of Sky Plus. He was also responsible for channel brands including Sky One, Sky Movies, Sky News and Sky Arts and masterminded promotion of key programming such as The Simpsons, 24 and David Blaine’s Tower Bridge glass box stunt. He also handled the media storm around Rebecca Loos’ TV interview exclusive.

Lee comes with five years agency experience as an Account Director at Jackie Cooper PR. Prior to joining Sky, he re-launched the Fanta brand for Coca-Cola and worked for many high profile clients including Sony Playstation, Mars confectionary and Diageo.

Taylor Herring co-founder James Herring said; “Adrian is one of the PR industry’s most respected and accomplished operators with a track record that is second to none. We are delighted to have him on board. ”

Adrian Lee added; “The media and communications sector is experiencing a period of intense change and development. With over 600 TV channels and a host of new internet and mobile based propositions jostling for attention – an aggressive and strategic PR programme is rapidly becoming the leading component in the communications mix.”
